KIDS COORDINATOR (PART-TIME)

As a member of our Leadership Team, the Lifepoint Kids Coordinator will help our church family reach, love, and make disciples of our children 5 years old and under, in order that they pursue spiritual growth. While rooted in building relationships with children, an emphasis will be on equipping parents as disciplers of their own children. The Kids Coordinator will manage the church-wide direction of Lifepoint Kids on a short-term basis. We’ll launch with 1 year old - 5 years old and work towards expanding to nursery with the addition of trained Dream Teamers (volunteers).

Responsibilities:

  • Disciple the children into a personal relationship with God in both large group and smaller relational environments

  • Maintain a well-planned, carefully balanced program throughout the term coordinated
    with the church’s Summer calendar of events

  • Lead and train a team of volunteers to assist in leading the ministry

  • Partner with parents by creating a discipling culture and providing them with support and provided resources

  • Interact with students and parents during Sunday gatherings

  • Grow the Kids ministry by creating fun, attractive, and compelling environments to which our children want to come back each week

  • Lead periodic Kids team meetings on Sunday and empower team to fulfill their unique roles

  • Oversee implementation of policies throughout the ministry

  • Maintain all security standards

  • Maintain strong communication and relationship with Dream Team Coordinator and  Lead Pastor to ensure the vision of the Lead Pastor is implemented in all aspects of family ministry

Role Qualifications:

  • Born-again believer with a maturing relationship with Christ

  • Ability to communicate the Gospel through various means to children at various ages

  • Leadership background and experience serving with kids.  Heart for children and parents

  • Proven ability to work within a team dynamic

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to articulate and implement the vision of Lifepoint Church

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills

  • Superior interpersonal skills working with a variety of people from Dream Team members (volunteers) to parents to kids

  • Solid theological grounding and creativity in kids’ ministry

  • Positive attitude and positive approach to problem-solving.  Must be solution-oriented  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills and pursuit of excellence through attention to detail
